The REALTOR Alliance of Greater Cincinnati and CincyMLS announced on May 1 that applications are now being accepted for three seats on the 2027–2029 Board of Directors, with a deadline set for June 26 at 11:59 p.m.
This announcement is significant as it invites members to participate in shaping the direction of the local real estate industry through leadership roles. The organizations said that serving on the board is an opportunity to “helping shape the future of our industry, strengthening our Association, and creating a lasting impact within the communities we serve.”
To qualify as a candidate, applicants must have been members in good standing with the REALTOR Alliance of Greater Cincinnati for at least three years. They also need three years of active participation in committees or recognized groups within local, state, or national real estate associations. Additional requirements include having an active career in real estate and demonstrating traits such as adaptability, openness to member needs, respect within the community, teamwork skills, and coalition-building abilities.
The commitment involves attending monthly board meetings—held at 9 a.m., potentially lasting until noon—and participating in other association events throughout each year. Missing more than three meetings within any rolling twelve-month period could result in removal from the board. The organizations stated that “becoming a member of the Board of Directors is a 3-year commitment (2027-2029). If you subsequently decide to run for President-elect, the commitment would be more in the 5-6 years range.” Candidates will be presented by a Credentialing Committee before members vote electronically during the annual meeting scheduled for September 23.
The Cincinnati Area Board of Realtors operates as a professional trade organization providing advocacy, education, networking opportunities, professional development courses and certifications along with market data and legal resources to real estate professionals across Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky; it also engages in community initiatives and charitable activities while advocating on legislative matters according to its official website.
The call for candidates reflects ongoing efforts by these organizations to foster leadership development among their membership base while ensuring continued representation across key areas affecting local real estate.
