The REALTOR Alliance of Greater Cincinnati (RAGC) announced on May 1 that it is highlighting the value of board service through its new ‘My Why’ series, featuring real stories from leaders in the organization. The announcement comes ahead of the opening of Board of Director applications on May 18.
The initiative aims to show how serving on the RAGC and CincyMLS Board can influence both personal and professional growth for real estate professionals. In the first installment, 2026 Treasurer Lee Sokolis shares her experience, noting that board service expanded her network and strengthened her voice within the industry.
According to Sokolis, “Serving on the Board isn’t just a title. It’s a seat at the table where relationships are built, insights are shared, and decisions are made that directly impact your day-to-day business and the future of our industry.” She also said that those who step into these roles gain visibility, build strategic relationships, and bring valuable insight back to their clients and colleagues.
The Cincinnati Area Board of Realtors operates as a professional trade organization for real estate professionals according to its official website. The organization provides advocacy, education, and networking opportunities for members according to its official website, while also engaging in community initiatives and charitable activities according to its official website.
