Blue Ash Mayor Marc Sirkin gave remarks and presented a proclamation during the open ceremonies of the Ohio Elks Convention this morning.
The 102nd annual convention takes place throughout the weekend at the Embassy Suites in Blue Ash.
The Improved Benevolent and Protective Order Elks of the World organization was founded in Cincinnati in 1898 by Attorney B.F. Howard and a pullman porter named Arthur J. Riggs.
It has over 500,000 members and 1,500 lodges worldwide.
