The House Homeland Security Committee has passed House Bill 222, which aims to create the "Continue Your Story" specialty license plate in Ohio. State Representative Jean Schmidt (R-Loveland), who sponsored the bill, made the announcement.

The new license plate will support the Ben Morrison Fund, a mental health awareness non-profit organization. According to Schmidt, “The Ben Morrison Fund is a mental health awareness non-profit that helps remove stigma and awareness barriers that keep suffering individuals from receiving the care and support they need.” She added, “I believe these license plates will save lives.”

The Ben Morrison Memorial Fund has been active in organizing over forty events aimed at raising awareness about mental health issues, breaking down stigma, and providing educational resources to children in Cincinnati and Columbus.

House Bill 222 will now proceed to the House floor for a vote.
