Fairfield home prices rise in the first half of 2020

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2020 in Fairfield rose by $7,433 while total sales increased by 2.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2020, there were 308 homes sold, with a median sale price of $160,000 - a 4.9% increase over the $152,567 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 300 homes sold in Fairfield in the first half of 2019.

The median sales tax in Fairfield for the most recent year with available data, 2018, was $2,185, approximately 1.4% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2020.
