2020: Home prices in Fairfield increased

The median sale price of a home sold in 2020 in Fairfield rose by $12,238 while total sales increased by 2%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2020, there were 655 homes sold, with a median sale price of $168,000 - a 7.9% increase over the $155,763 median sale price for the previous year. There were 642 homes sold in Fairfield in 2019.

The median sales tax in Fairfield for the most recent year with available data, 2018, was $2,185, approximately 1.3% of the median home sale price for 2020.
