The Ohio House of Representatives has passed House Bill 268, a measure that aims to honor the memory of Richard "Dick" Mallon by designating a portion of State Route 32 as the Richard "Dick" Mallon Memorial Highway. State Rep. Jean Schmidt (R-Loveland) made the announcement regarding the legislation.

Richard Mallon, who dedicated his life to serving his country and community, had an impressive career. He served as a veteran of the United States Navy and played important roles in various organizations. He was the President of the Clermont County Chamber of Commerce, co-founder of the Clermont County Convention and Visitors Bureau, and a founding member of the Clermont County Law Enforcement Appreciation Association.

State Rep. Jean Schmidt praised Mallon's dedication and commitment to his community, stating, "Dick Mallon was a true example of what it means to dedicate your life to something bigger than yourself. Mr. Mallon was a friend. He cared deeply about his community and worked to put Clermont County on a path towards growth."

The passing of House Bill 268 in the Ohio House of Representatives marks an important step in honoring Richard Mallon's legacy. The bill now awaits consideration by the Ohio Senate.
