It was a special day at Reading Fire Department as we welcomed our retirees back for a luncheon. It was great seeing everyone today and hearing stories of the past. There has only been 5 career chiefs since the city began a full time department in 1969.
It was an honor to have four of them here today - past chiefs Robert Hollmeyer, Steve Ashbrock, Kevin Kaiser and current chief, Todd Owens.
