Broker Connect 2024 summit offers insights into economic trends and legislative updates

The Broker Connect 2024 leadership summit is set to take place on May 23, 2024, at the Manor House in Mason, Ohio. The event promises a comprehensive program for real estate professionals looking to gain insights into economic trends and legislative updates.

Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from industry experts such as Lawrence Yun, Chief Economist at the National Association of Realtors (NAR). Yun is known for his work with NAR’s research activities and frequently provides commentary on real estate market trends. His participation includes involvement in economic forecasting panels like the Blue Chip Council and contributions to discussions at Harvard University’s Joint Center for Housing Studies.

Todd Book, executive staff liaison to Ohio REALTORS Legal Action and other committees, will also be speaking. Book has extensive experience in legal matters related to real estate and has served as a government relations consultant for the Ohio State Bar Association.

Stephen McCoy, who oversees operations at Ohio REALTORS' Legal Assistance Hotline, will share his expertise. McCoy has a background in analyzing regulatory changes impacting Ohio’s real estate license law.

Shannon McGahn, Chief Advocacy Officer for NAR, will provide strategic advice on public policy issues affecting the organization. Her previous roles include serving as staff director for the House Financial Services Committee.

Maura Neill is scheduled to deliver a keynote speech titled "The Value-Driven Brokerage: Recruiting and Retaining Success." Neill aims to provide actionable strategies that brokerages can use to showcase their unique value propositions and strengthen client relationships.

Daphne Hawk brings over 25 years of experience in various roles within the real estate sector. As Franklin County Recorder, she managed substantial budgets while improving services.

Brandon Rudd from Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber and Andrew Huffman from an unnamed association are among other notable speakers expected at this summit. Their expertise ranges from demographic data analysis to legislative advocacy within the real estate industry.

The summit aims to equip participants with knowledge about current legislative challenges while offering strategies for effective advocacy in an evolving landscape. Attendees are encouraged not only to learn but also network with peers during this one-day event.
