The Local Political Coordinator (LPC) program has been launched to enhance REALTOR advocacy by connecting the REALTOR Alliance of Greater Cincinnati with local elected officials. This initiative is designed for members who are willing to volunteer their time to build relationships, monitor municipal issues, and advocate for REALTOR positions in support of property rights and community interests.

The program's objectives include maintaining relationships with elected officials, monitoring local issues, advocating for REALTOR interests, and empowering member engagement. LPCs will work closely with the Government Affairs Director and the Advocacy Committee to represent REALTOR priorities at the local level while adhering to RAGC policy.

LPC responsibilities involve agenda monitoring, establishing relations with elected officials, participating in advocacy activities, reporting updates, engaging with the community, and pursuing professional development through required training sessions.

Qualifications for LPCs include a passion for advocacy related to homeownership and private property rights. The role is voluntary but requires confirmation by the Board of Directors. Candidates should have active engagement in REALTOR activities and demonstrate an ability to navigate political relationships professionally.

LPCs are expected to serve a one-year term with potential for reappointment. They must commit to impartial advocacy focused on REALTOR issues. The program offers support through a designated staff liaison, access to training materials, and collaboration opportunities within the Government Affairs Team.

Mary Huttlinger serves as the Government Affairs Director for this initiative. Heather Kopf is the Chair of the Advocacy Committee, with Maura Black as Vice Chair.

This effort aims to advance the mission of REALTORS by protecting property rights and fostering stronger communities throughout Greater Cincinnati.
