Home sales and median prices in the Greater Cincinnati area saw an increase in January 2025 compared to the same period last year. The REALTOR Alliance of Greater Cincinnati reported that home sales reached 791, a 16.5% rise from the previous year's figure of 679. The median sales price increased by 10%, reaching $275,000 compared to $250,000 in January 2024.
"A number of positive signs emerged in the Greater Cincinnati housing market in January – notably, the gains posted in sales activity and in median prices provide a clear indication of the region’s vibrancy and strength," said DaVan Gassett, President of the REALTOR Alliance of Greater Cincinnati. He also noted an increase in inventory, offering consumers more options during their home search.
The data comes from activity reported in the Multiple Listing Service of Greater Cincinnati, covering residential closings for both new and existing single-family homes and condominiums. The REALTOR Alliance represents over 5,600 real estate professionals committed to a strict Code of Ethics.
Gassett emphasized that "our current marketplace continues to provide unique opportunities for both buyers and sellers," highlighting the importance of working with a skilled Greater Cincinnati REALTOR as a valuable partner in achieving housing goals.
