The REALTOR Alliance of Greater Cincinnati (RAGC) emphasizes its commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion, which extends to their focus on fair housing and homeownership opportunities for all. The organization highlights their adherence to a code of ethics that obliges members to treat everyone with fairness.

According to RAGC, their support aligns with existing federal and state fair housing laws, designed to ensure equal opportunities in housing and protect individuals from discriminatory practices related to housing sales, rentals, financing, or advertisements. The organization seeks to celebrate diversity by offering equal professional services, irrespective of personal characteristics such as race, color, religion, sex, disability, familial status, national origin, sexual orientation, or gender identity.

April marks Fair Housing Month, and RAGC encourages reflection on the principles outlined in the Fair Housing Act, which was passed on April 11, 1968. The act supports the freedom and security that come with choosing a place to live without discrimination. RAGC sees housing as a fundamental necessity and considers their community efforts crucial to building lives and strengthening the greater Cincinnati area.

The alliance urges its members to participate in local events, educational opportunities, or reaffirm their commitment to fair housing practices during this month dedicated to fair housing awareness.

"April is Fair Housing Month, a time to reflect on the ideals set forth in the landmark federal legislation enacted on April 11, 1968. At its core, the Fair Housing Act is about freedom, choice and security: the freedom to live where you want, raise a family where opportunity abounds, and do so without fear of discrimination."

Housing remains a critical concern and, through fair and equitable service, Cincinnati REALTORS aim to contribute positively to the community.
