The REALTOR Alliance of Greater Cincinnati Advocacy Committee recently organized a meet-and-greet session with Councilmember Mark Jeffreys, held at Fueled Collective. The event was aimed at engaging realtors with the City of Cincinnati's housing initiatives. Ailleen Combs arranged the venue.

Jeffreys, who chairs the Equitable Growth & Housing Committee, has actively engaged with realtors to gather insights on major housing initiatives. He sought input on the proposed Accessory Dwelling Unit policy in Cincinnati and discussed plans for building 40,000 new housing units over the next ten years, underscoring the importance of realtor participation in shaping the city's housing future.

During the event, Jeffreys explained a broader economic development strategy, which includes housing and builds on regional infrastructure, such as the CROWN bike trail. This initiative is modeled after a project in Atlanta and aims for neighborhoods with smart land use and inclusive growth.

The session was introduced by RAGC Vice Chair Maura Black, followed by a Q&A session where Hyde Park members raised questions about a new development proposal in their community. This open dialogue highlighted Jeffreys' commitment to transparency and collaboration with Cincinnati’s realtors.

Councilmember Jeffreys has been acknowledged by RAGC's RPAC Committee as a REALTOR Champion, reflecting his commitment to a robust housing ecosystem. His engagement with realtors signifies the importance of their input in policymaking.
