The 2024 OWN Cincy Homeownership Symposium attracted over 750 attendees, highlighting the importance of community empowerment through sustainable homeownership. Formerly known as OWN BLK Cincy, the rebranded OWN Cincy continues its mission to promote housing equity and expand access to homeownership in Cincinnati, focusing on historically underserved Black communities.
The upcoming 2025 symposium, scheduled for August 8 and 9, aims to build on the previous year's success. It will feature dynamic workshops led by expert panelists and trusted community voices. Resources from community housing partners and lenders will be available, alongside dozens of moderators, speakers, and volunteers united by the goal of increasing Black homeownership in Greater Cincinnati.
The REALTOR Alliance of Greater Cincinnati (RAGC) supports this effort by appointing two members of the 2025 Advocacy Committee—Patty Hoff with Heartland Bank and Kara Whitesell with eXp Realty—to serve on Vice Mayor Jan-Michele Lemon Kearney’s Steering Committee for this year's event. Their involvement ensures that REALTORS remain actively engaged in efforts to increase access, build equity, and expand opportunity across neighborhoods.
"RAGC is honored to stand with our partners and community leaders to amplify this message: Black homeownership matters."
