The REALTOR Alliance of Greater Cincinnati (RAGC) is promoting a new tool designed to aid communities in Ohio and beyond in planning for the future. The platform, HousingOhio.org, provides decision-makers, advocates, and local leaders with data, policy guidance, and storytelling tools to support attainable housing and smart growth strategies.
According to RAGC, HousingOhio.org is more than just a collection of reports; it serves as an interactive platform connecting housing supply with economic development and community well-being. It offers resources such as local housing profiles, legislative updates, equity-centered frameworks, and communications support. REALTORS are playing a significant role in introducing this resource.
Heather Kopf, RAGC’s Advocacy Chair stated: “REALTORS understand that healthy housing markets start with healthy communities. This resource aligns directly with our mission to be good partners—not just in real estate transactions but in local problem-solving. It’s a perfect example of how we show up with real solutions.”
RAGC is conducting educational sessions for REALTORS, community stakeholders, elected officials, and planners to promote HousingOhio.org. These sessions focus on various tools available on the site including:
- Interactive Local Profiles for analyzing housing needs by city or county
- Best Practices for land use, zoning, and development
- Storytelling Kits for effective communication about housing
- Legislative Tracking for monitoring policy trends
Mary Huttlinger, RAGC’s Government Affairs Director said: “Our region is at a turning point. To stay competitive, we need housing that supports our workforce revitalizes our neighborhoods and reflects the realities of modern living. This toolkit provides a roadmap to get there—and we’re committed to helping our communities use it.”
HousingOhio.org offers support whether you are a city official or someone interested in your neighborhood's future. REALTORS are ready to assist in applying these resources effectively.
