It's that time of year again! The first crisp fall mornings are upon us and the frost is on the ground, chunky sweaters come out of summer storage, and pumpkin spice everything dominates menus across the valley.
In police work, we know this as prime vehicle theft time. Why? Because many people would rather leave their cars open and running, as sitting ducks for joyrides, than deal with a chilly seat for a few minutes. We hear the dispatches all across the county.
