Push 4 Pencils is the annual school supply drive for Crayons to Computers. Cincinnati faces a significant challenge with an overall poverty rate of nearly 30%, compared to the national average of 14%. Many families struggling to afford basic necessities cannot prioritize purchasing school supplies. The initiative aims to prepare more than 120,000 students for their return to school.
The REALTOR® Alliance of Greater Cincinnati Community Outreach Committee is partnering with Crayons to Computers to ensure teachers can provide necessary tools for students in need. The goal is to collect nearly $2,000 in supplies through a school supply drive benefiting teachers and their students.
From July 1 to August 13, individuals can collect and drop off items or donate supplies or monetary contributions online. A drop-off collection will take place during the REALTOR® Alliance of Greater Cincinnati (RAGC) Open House on August 13 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
To encourage participation, there are two contest options: online and in-person. For every $10 donation made through the Push 4 Pencils online store by August 12, donors will be entered into a draw for a free lunch for up to ten people provided by RAGC. The office that collects the most supplies from the Sorting Sheet and drops them off at the Crayons to Computers van during the RAGC Open House on August 13 will also receive a free lunch for up to ten people.
Promotional boxes can be picked up from RAGC by contacting Cathy Petersman at (513) 842-3018 or cpetersman@cincyrealtoralliance.com. Supplies should be packed in copy paper boxes for easy delivery during the Open House event.
Participants can either donate supplies via the online store or make monetary donations. More information about Crayons to Computers and their latest news and events can be found on their website.
The REALTOR® Alliance of Greater Cincinnati Community Outreach Committee expresses gratitude for community support.
