The REALTOR® Alliance of Greater Cincinnati is joining forces with the Toys for Tots campaign this holiday season. The initiative, running from November 1 to December 9, 2024, aims to collect and distribute new, unwrapped toys to children in need across the region.
Toys for Tots, established in 1947 by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, has been a longstanding program dedicated to providing hope and joy to less fortunate children. By partnering with this organization, the REALTOR® Alliance seeks to positively impact the local community during the festive period.
Community members are encouraged to participate by donating toys at designated collection points throughout Cincinnati. Offices can also request drop-off boxes before November 1 for easier participation. Toys for Tots will manage the pickup and distribution of all donations.
“We are thrilled to be part of such a meaningful cause,” said Cathy Petersman, Membership Director and Community Outreach Staff Liaison. “Organizing this toy drive with Toys for Tots gives us an incredible opportunity to spread joy to children in need, and it truly reflects our commitment to supporting the communities we serve. I’m grateful for the generosity of our members and the greater Cincinnati community as we come together to make a difference this holiday season.”
Monetary donations can be made payable to Marine Toys for Tots Foundation and sent to RAGC at their Sharonville address. According to the organization, 97% of every donation goes directly towards providing toys for children.
Gift suggestions include educational items, pretend play sets, books, games, puzzles, arts & crafts supplies, dolls and accessories among others suitable for ages newborn through seventeen.
