State Rep. Jean Schmidt | The Ohio House of Representatives
State Representative Schmidt was unable to attend the ceremonial swearing-in at the Statehouse due to a snowstorm affecting the United States. Instead, Schmidt took the oath of office on January 6, 2025, administered by Jennifer Black, a notary public certified in Ohio. This procedure followed the guidelines set by the Ohio Revised Code (ORC 3.24 and ORC 101.23).
Schmidt expressed anticipation for representing Ohio's 62nd District in the 136th General Assembly.
